Some kitchens just have a lot of dishes
Others have gotten so overwhelming that someone hasn’t been able to deal with them for weeks.
Scrub Human helps people when their kitchen has gotten away from them. We’re looking for humans who can walk into a messy kitchen without judgment, roll up their sleeves, and get to work.
THIS ISN'T JUST ABOUT BEING GOOD AT CLEANING.
It's about understanding that there is a human attached to every dirty kitchen. No lectures. No faces. No “how did it get this bad?”
THE WORK
01. Wash dishes... sometimes a lot of them
02. Clean sinks, counters and kitchen surfaces
03. Clean stovetops and included kitchen areas
04. Sweep and mop
05. Bag kitchen trash
06. Work in kitchens that are genuinely messy
THE MONEY
$25–$65 per scrubPaid per completed job | Paid weekly | via Direct DepositYou'll know the scrub type, location, and pay before
you decide whether to accept.
SHOW UP. BE KIND. GET TO WORK.
What we're looking for:
01. YOU’RE 18 OR OLDER.
You must be at least 18 to work as a Human.02. YOU’RE RELIABLE.
If you accept a Scrub, we need you to show up when you said you would and communicate if something changes.03. YOU CAN GET AROUND THE NORTH SIDE.
You need reliable transportation to jobs in Rogers Park, Edgewater, Uptown, and nearby service areas. CTA, bike, car...whatever works.04. YOU’RE COMFORTABLE WITH MESSY KITCHENS.
Some jobs are a sink full of dishes. Some are much heavier. You should be willing to get in there and do the work without making the customer feel bad about it.05. YOU TREAT PEOPLE WITH RESPECT.
No judgment. No lectures. No faces. Customers do not need to explain how their kitchen got that way.06. YOU CAN WORK INDEPENDENTLY.
You’ll know the scope of the Scrub before you accept it, but once you’re there, we’re trusting you to get to work and use good judgment.07. CLEANING EXPERIENCE IS BIG A PLUS BUT NOT A REQUIREMENT.
Restaurant, housekeeping, janitorial, hospitality, home-care, or other hands-on experience can help, but we care more about reliability, effort, and how you treat people.
